The Hillco Wrap Twine Remover (WTR) safely removes twine and/or netwrap from round bales and large square bales, without the need for the operator to get off the tractor.

The WTR will cut twine or netwrap on:

  • 4’x5’, 4’x6’, 5'x5', 5’x6’ Round
  • Large Square Bales up to 8’
  • Multiple spear locations for different bale sizes and types
  • Arms rotate out of the way for handling hay bales when not removing twine
  • Adjustable hooks to minimize hay being grabbed
  • Compatible tractor mounts for Euro, skidsteer and John Deere 6-700 series loaders.

When the bale is ready to be fed the cutting knife and hooks are engaged cutting and grabbing the wrap.
After the wrap is cut the hooks hold onto the wrap. The pressure on the squeeze arms is released.
The arms can be rotated up out of the way pulling the wrap off of the bale. The bale is then dumped into the feeder.
The tractor operator can release the hooks and dump the wrap in a pile outside of the pen or in a garbage bin.

Reduction in Machine Harvested Yield (bu/acre)

Estimate the reduction of Machine Harvested Yield (MHY) for each slope range if you were harvesting at the speed you entered for 0-3% slopes. (The calcultor will then project expected reductions in MHY for each slope range at your previously estimated ground speeds.)

You may opt to enter the test data which was determined by actual field testing by Hillco (based on 5 mph harvesting speed).

Reduction in MHY is used in these calculations rather than field loss. Reduction in MHY is a more accurate guage of combine harvesting efficiency because it can be determined by actually weighing the harvested yield rather than estimating the amount of yield lost to the ground.
