FAQs: Wrap Twine Remover (WTR)

Just one remote or one third function is needed. We do not supply the two hydraulic lines that are needed to hook to an SCV just for this reason. This allows us to be able to connect the WTR to both new and older styles of tractors.

Hillco will provide you with the electrical harnessing and switchbox, you only need to connect it to battery power. You are also provided with a weatherproof extension harness. The harness will run from the cab harnessing to the front of the loader for ease of disconnect when attaching or detaching the WTR.

a. Start by ensuring that power is being supplied to the WTR. Check your power supply, especially if you are utilizing a cigarette lighter. It could be that the plug has worked loose or that the tractor fuse is blown.

b. Inspect your wiring for broken or damaged wires, particularly at any connections. It is possible that a wire may have been pulled out of a plug or that the plugs are not fully connected and locked.

c. Don’t panic, call Hillco Product Support (800) 937-2461 and one of our product specialists will be able to help you troubleshoot. We will get you back up and operating.

Reduction in Machine Harvested Yield (bu/acre)

Estimate the reduction of Machine Harvested Yield (MHY) for each slope range if you were harvesting at the speed you entered for 0-3% slopes. (The calcultor will then project expected reductions in MHY for each slope range at your previously estimated ground speeds.)

You may opt to enter the test data which was determined by actual field testing by Hillco (based on 5 mph harvesting speed).

Reduction in MHY is used in these calculations rather than field loss. Reduction in MHY is a more accurate guage of combine harvesting efficiency because it can be determined by actually weighing the harvested yield rather than estimating the amount of yield lost to the ground.

Your Operational Costs
