Pivoting Spout- New and Improved

The Hillco Pivoting Spout will fit any 17” high unload rate auger. You would also find them on 60 and 70 series combines, or S series, that have the 17” unloading augers.

Pivoting Spout

It has been a long time coming but we are ready to re-introduce the Hillco Pivoting Spout for John Deere combines. Please welcome the new and improved JPS1720!

What’s new? First, the injection mold boot will come in one single piece looking similar to the factory spout. The spout tip is also smaller in diameter, allowing a tighter spread and a more accurate pour while maintaining volume. We kept the actuator in the same spot, which is on the side of the auger, away from potential hazards that might occur while unloading. The new design increased the total pivot from 33° in our previous model to 37° for our latest iteration. From the stock boot position, you will get 23° of downward pivot, allowing you to pour almost straight down. The 14° of upward pivot will give you over three feet of grain throw over the standard boot.

You will control the pivoting spout with the foot rocker switch that you can mount anywhere on the floor of the cab. Whether you are unloading on the go into a grain cart or topping off a truck, the pivoting spout will give you the ability to better utilize the limited space you have.

Will it fit my combine? The Hillco pivoting spout will fit any 17” high unload rate auger. You would also find them on 60 and 70 series combines, or S series, that have the 17” unloading augers. You will keep the stock grain flap in the auger to keep grain from flowing out after unloading.

Reduction in Machine Harvested Yield (bu/acre)

Estimate the reduction of Machine Harvested Yield (MHY) for each slope range if you were harvesting at the speed you entered for 0-3% slopes. (The calcultor will then project expected reductions in MHY for each slope range at your previously estimated ground speeds.)

You may opt to enter the test data which was determined by actual field testing by Hillco (based on 5 mph harvesting speed).

Reduction in MHY is used in these calculations rather than field loss. Reduction in MHY is a more accurate guage of combine harvesting efficiency because it can be determined by actually weighing the harvested yield rather than estimating the amount of yield lost to the ground.
